Christina Salu

Christina Salu serves as Vice President of Membership for GBA. Christina leads GBA’s membership recruitment, engagement and retention efforts. Christina Salu has over 17 years of association management experience specializing in all aspects of membership development including promoting membership, evaluating membership trends and strategies, developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain members, achieving revenue goals and managing daily staff activities. Christina is passionate about mission-driven organizations and is committed to serving their members.

Previously, she served as Senior Director of Membership for the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) for almost three years. She was responsible for developing programs, initiatives and policies designed to increase membership growth and engagement. Christina managed a team of four whose expertise comprised of membership, strategic partnerships and chapter relations, to provide excellent member care while identifying and creating solutions to improve the member experience.

Christina received her Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University and her Bachelor’s in Business Management from Hampton University. Also, Christina is a proud mom of two boys and has been an avid yoga student for many years.
